Landing Choice

Planting varietal seedlings is best done in the spring, before the stage of active vegetation of the fruit plant. The choice of a place for placing apricot plantations on a personal plot should be approached very responsibly. Landings must be placed in a sunny and warm place, which will be maximally protected from gusts of winds and stagnation of cold air masses. As for the soil, it is advisable to give preference to areas with loamy and light loamy soils.

About two weeks before the planned planting or even in the fall, it is required to prepare planting pits 60 x 60 cm in size with a depth of at least 70 cm.In the central part of the pit, a peg is required to tie the seedling trunk, it is desirable to form a drainage layer. The planting pit must be filled with a mixture based on peat and fertile soil with a small addition of mineral components. Apricot seedlings should be placed so that the root neck of the plant is necessarily located 6-7 cm above the soil level.
